The Term ‘becoming’ is a philosopher’s word, bringing with it a Heraclitian pedigree. Oft used it outlines, in simple terms, the idea of ongoing change. Within the context of Greig Burgoyne and Rossella Emanuele drawing work the term is apt, for it refers to the playful open-endedness of their work. An indication whose origin spring from the implicit understanding that drawing is produced by a point that moves. White Noise therefore documents a moment in time when two artists met in an empty gallery space in London to ask and perform the question ‘what is drawing?’
White Noise includes an essay by the drawing theorist Joe Graham.
Printed with fold out dust jacket, incorporating French folds and overprinting White Noise is designed in collaboration with CHK Design studio, London. Limited edition Artist' Book of 250 copies.
