30-Year Safari, The

This book celebrates Getaway Magazine’s 30th birthday. More than any other publication, this magazine has captured the spirit of African travel, reaching millions of readers. Getaway photographs have unleashed our imaginations and have, over the years, worked their way into almost every media, embedding themselves in South African culture. Getaway Gallery, a monthly competition featuring the best of our readers’ photographs, was started with the first issue in 1989.
