Barbara Hepworth and the Yorkshire Landscape: An Anthology is available to buy in increments of 1
Published to coincide with Wakefield-born sculptor Barbara Hepworth's centenary exhibition at YSP in 2003, the book mixes rare black and white photographs from the Hepworth Estate with excerpts from Hepworth's written musings about landscape. Its focus is partly on Hepworth’s use of bronze as a vehicle for expanding her artistic range, enabling her to give form to her thoughts about subjects such as humanity, music and art, her preoccupations with which are revealed in the text. In addition to photographs of both Hepworth's work and the places within Yorkshire that influenced her intellectually and creatively, this book incorporates a timeline of the events that defined her relationship with God's Own County.
