British Art Journal

First Published in Autumn 1999, The British Art Journal publishes original research on British art of all periods and actively encourages the work of younger scholars. Articles are principally on painting and the graphic arts, but also sculpture, architecture, the decorative arts, and the history of dress. The publishers aim is to publish outstanding original research on British art (interpreted in the widest sense), adopting all approaches to the discipline, and with a particular view to seeing British art in a wider international context.
