Sorry Consented magazine, launched in January 2017, is no longer coming out . You may find copies of issue 9 at https://www.centralbooks.com/consented-09-2019-subject-to-be-announced.html or try https://www.centralbooks.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=consented for other issues.

It was a print magazine from the Consented multi-media platform for those who aren’t accurately represented by the mainstream.

Consented was founded in 2015 as an independent project looking to add more diversity to the status quo through print, tv and radio.

Based in London with contributors from around the world, Consented welcomes the ideas of any who want to break the mantra of the norm.

Its first issue focussed on mental health and the ways in which our mental well-being is affected by our day to day interactions with the world around us. This issue explores addiction, race, gender and the body through personal narratives, essays, comics, poetry and art.

Its second issue explored ideas of belonging, critiquing the wider social and capitalist structures that include some and exclude others. Through personal stories, poetry and essays, this issue aims to shed light on the complexity of identity in modern day Britain.

The third issue focuses on gender, forming an intersectional collection of work that brings together analysis and critique of historical systems of oppression.
