When Mrs Savage proposes to donate her ten million dollar inheritance from her husband’s death to a ‘good cause’, her enraged, spiteful and greedy step-children decide to commit her into an institution in order to bring her to her senses. This evil plan backfires however, when Mrs Savage befriends the various social misfits within the sanatorium, and decides that her money will be spent on their future happiness. The self seeking step-children will stop at nothing to gain control of the money, but Mrs Savage leads them a most comical merry chase and everybody gets what they deserve in the end! A comic morality tale, examining a world that seems motivated at times only by greed and dishonesty.
