Erwin Wurm (b. 1954) is one of Austria’s leading artists, making sculpture, performance, photography, drawing and video. For more than 30 years he has challenged the rules of sculpture, the limitations of the human body and its relationship to the spaces we use. This major exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park presents Wurm’s wide-ranging artistic output and encourages curiosity and the consideration of new perspectives.
This exhibition features more than 100 works, including 55 sculptures indoors, 19 sculptures in the landscape, paintings, photographs, videos and drawings created over 30 years of the artist’s career. Several works are being shown for the first time.
