By patiently recording each cadavers relationship to its surroundings, Joskowicz allows the camera to forensically draw out the inherent beauty of these still lives as our eyes ever so slowly scan from one scene to another.
Claudia Joskowicz recently exhibited work at Momenta Art Gallery, New York, Lawndale Art Center, Texas, Kinz, Tillou + Feigen Gallery, New York, Sara Meltzer Gallery, New York, Exit Art, New York and at the McDonough Museum of Art, Ohio. She was born in Bolivia and currently lives and works in New York.
