Sluice
The Sluice magazine is being launched off the back of six years of artist/curator-led activities predominantly in London and New York. As with all sluice platforms the magazine promotes artist, curator and emergent discourse, projects, galleries and artists.
Sluice__ stages art fairs, expos, exhibitions, and now as a bi-annual magazine maintains its non-institutional status as an advantage to create and present dynamic platforms, able to adapt itself to every occasion and financial situation it encounters. Giving voice to the non-commercial art world, the precariousness of the grass-roots is both an indictment and a strength.
“This October sees the return of one of the UK's most imortant art fairs – and we're not talking about Frieze.” Jack Hutchinson / a-n.co.uk
“Crammed with an array of artist-run projects, baffling curatorial initiatives, oddball conceptual stunts and some unfashionably beautiful pieces.” Tom Jefferies / vice.com
